Engaging user generated content site for Auto Trader

The problem

Following on from the nostalgic quiz website Better Things created, and the subsequent TV campaign, Auto Trader wanted to ensure continued engagement with their base of dealer customers.

The solution

We came up with an easy to use campaign website where dealers could share their motor related experiences with the rest of the dealer community. Visitors were prompted with four question based prompts and could pick which one they wanted to respond to. Responses were limited to 300 characters to make participation simpler and ensuring responses were more likely to be read. Once stories were submitted they were moderated and then posted to the site for other dealers to read. And to promote participation, a prize was offered for the best story. At time of writing this case study the site was still live so no winner has been voted for at this time.

We also created an HTML email to drive dealers to the microsite.
