Auto Trader wanted to generate excitement around the imminent launch of their latest TV ad highlighting the fact that they have been helping people buy and sell cars for over 36 years.
Better Things designed and built an online ‘Guess The Car’ quiz that was sent out to trade customers, with a car from every year that Auto Trader has been in existence. This resulted in a quiz containing 36 cars, some far more obscure than others, with multiple choice answers.
The entrants were up against the clock ticking at the bottom of the screen to get as many answers correct in the quickest time possible. Entrants were limited to three tries of the quiz with the top three entrants receiving a prize.
We also created an HTML email to drive customers to the microsite.
