Christmas seen through the eyes of a life long car enthusiast

The problem

Auto Trader wanted to send their customers a Christmas message that was festive, whilst still remaining relevant to the automotive subject matter. On top of this they needed the final message to be a call to action to watch a trailer for their new TV advertising campaign.

The solution

The new TV advertising campaign continues to draw on the nostalgic emotions people have for the different cars they own throughout their lives. With this in mind and expanding on our previous online work for Auto Trader’s TV advertising campaign, we created an animation that showed a snap shot of a car enthusiast’s Christmas presents from childhood to the present day, demonstrating a life long association with cars. The sequence of presents culminates with a new car purchase as the final Christmas gift.
