How do you follow up on the success of the UKTI’s Digital Mission to SXSW Interactive in 2009? How do you develop a sense of excitement around British digital businesses in the US? Take a strong brand and make it stronger. And make it work across various formats, including brochure handout, event stand, badges, adverts, the works.
Starting with the idea of the 1960s US press headline ‘The Brits Are Coming’, Better Things developed a concept for the UKTI Digital Mission that adapted the Digital Mission Union Jack we created for 2009, and incorporated it into an iconic form of transport, the London Bus. We filled it with a selection of British pioneers and heroes, and the result was a solution to impress even the most skeptical of yanks: the Brits are coming – and they’re good!
