Bliss Billboards

What We Like    Rich, 25 May 2010

We’re going to write a proper case study for Bliss Billboards once the campaign is complete and we have results. But we only launched it yesterday, and we’re so excited about it that we can’t wait to put something up on our website. So here it is.

Bliss billboards is a campaign we developed for Bliss, the charity for babies born to soon, too small and too sick. We knew that the best people to persuade others to give to charity are those that can truly empathise – in this case, parents. Not just parents of babies born premature or sick, but all parents. So we wanted to get them to lend a hand in raising vital funds for Bliss to keep on doing it’s great work.

We spent some time engaging with some of the bigger parenting websites, facebook groups and influential tweeters to seed the campaign with our target audience. Then we directed them to our microsite.

We took inspiration from the spoof political posters developed on mydavidcameron.com, and developed a site where parents could develop their own billboard poster and then ‘display’ it to their friends using social networks and emails. It’s pretty simple, it’s very easy to use, and (hopefully) it will be passed from parent to parent and generate a large audience of both creators and donors. We’ll have to wait and see whether that happens, but in the meantime you can help us make it happen by visiting blissbillboards and getting involved. Go on. It only takes a minute, and it could make a real difference.
